Diciamo che la televisione ha preparato il terreno per Internet. Non ho la televisione da una vita ma “spegnere” Internet è assai più difficile. Jerry Mander (quello che ha scritto il libro sui 4 argomenti contro la televisione), in The Absence of The Sacred, scriveva nel 1990: “The hyperactivity of TV imagery, while pacifying the brain, simultaneously speeds up the nervous system. TV makes us both dumb and speedy. In the end, television viewing just prepares us for the appropriate mental state for video games and computer fixation.”
