The Social browser happening the collected Flock much: one species of Firefox adapted to the function social of the net, therefore to the sharing of information (not thoughts endured to the p2p!). For a po of time it has seemed to get lost, now instead is one new version, the 0.7.1 version stabler and fast than before. I wanted instead to signal an interesting extension for this browser: it is called Meebo and it allows by means of one sidebar present in Flock of having Yahoo, AIM, Gtalk and MSN IM (the extension works also for Firefox). The extension works like promised, maybe is not much comfortable one and it wants a constant re-size to us of the window of the Im, in any case the idea of having all the Im integrated is always interesting and creed (Trillian standard).
Il social browser Flock riscosse molto successo: una specie di Firefox adattato alla funzione social della rete, quindi alla condivisione di informazioni (non pensate subito al p2p!). Insomma, per un po di tempo è sembrato perdersi, ora invece c’è una nuova versione, la 0.7.1 più stabile e veloce di prima. Volevo invece segnalare un’interessante estensione per questo browser: si chiama Meebo e permette mediante una sidebar presente in Flock di avere Yahoo, AIM, Gtalk and MSN IM (l’estensione funziona anche per Firefox). L’estensione funziona come promesso, seppur non sia molto comoda e ci voglia un costante re-size della finestra dell’Im, in ogni modo l’idea di avere tutti gli Im integrati è sempre interessante e credo ormai necessaria (Trillian insegna).
